Making waves, a commotion of local motion, bringing the chaos to shore; making storms

Sitting on the headland playing to the sea. The storm clouds began to gather, Gathering the swell.

Ku Mai! Ku Mai! Ka Nalu nui mai! kahiki mai!
Alo poi pu, Ku mai ka pohuehue hu Kaiko'o Loa!

Raising waves from Kahiki.

I dwelled on memories of a great person; My hula teacher George Naope, a man who brought me Aloha; who made me one of the people; who gave me my name.

The wind, Kamakani sprang against my face and brought with it Kane Lehua, the rains that fell upon hilo the day he passed on...

Mahalo no e Ke Akua. Aloha no e na kupuna
